When is the employee obliged to issue the work permit?

The establishment should issue work permit to the foreign employee during the first 90 days of their arrival in Saudi.

When can I renew the permit?

The establishment can renew the work permit if 180 days or less are left on the expiration of the current work permit.

What are the steps to execute the services?
  • Sign in to Qiwa, choose the establishment and the service (issue or renew).
  • Select the employees to issue or renew their permit.
  • Click on send request.
  • Pay the fees through local banks using SADAD number.
Why does not the active status appear on Absher Businesses or Muqeem?

The status of the payment is updated in the passports system within 24 hours of payment.

What are the establishments excluded from the fee?

The Establishment

Including 9 or less employees (the total of Saudis and non-Saudis on the unified number)

Conditions

  • The owner is available full time and registered in The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI).
  • A full-time Saudi employee at the establishment who is registered in The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), (other than the owner).

Suspension  

  • Financial suspension is granted during the one financial year for 4 non-Saudi employees.

Permits cannot be canceled after issuing or renewal.

Current bill must be paid for the new bill to be issued.

How can an unpaid work permit bill be canceled?

It can be canceled with a visit to the labor office.

Is the issuing or renewal of Residence Permit (Iqama) linked to the status of the work permit?

Yes, it is one of the requirements to issue or renew an Iqama by the Ministry of interior.

How is the financial year calculated?

The financial year is calculated for each unified number separately. It starts from the date of issuing or renewing the first work permit in the facility, according to the Hijri calendar.

After issuing a SADAD number, how can I pay the work permits through my bank Account?

From the user Bank account, enter the (SADAD) service, choose the special invoice number for the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (050), and finally, enter the SADAD number to show the required paid amount to renew work permits.

What is the validity period of the SADAD number after issuing it?

 

The validity of the SADAD number is 14 days from the date of issue.
